We
are currently holding auditions for our String Sections. To make
arrangements, please contact the Orchestra at info@conh.net.
The Civic Orchestra of New Haven's Spring Concert will be at
Battell Chapel on Saturday, May 10th at 8:00 pm. The special
concert will be dedicated to the memory of two individuals whom
the Orchestra holds in high regard, Maestro Gordon Emerson and
violinist and Charter Civic Orchestra of New Haven member Maurice
Levy. The program will be:
Fanfare for the Common Man - Copland
an exerpt from Enigma Variations - Elgar
Adagio for Strings - Barber
Symphony No. 5 - Tchaikovsky
Sinfonia Concertante - Mozart
featuring Violist Sharon
Wei and Violinist Solomiya
Ivakhiv.
It
is not necessary to purchase tickets in advance for the concert.
A contribution of $10 per individual and $5 for Students/Seniors
is suggested. Please contact info@conh.net
