Civic Orchestra of New Haven

The Civic Orchestra of New Haven (CONH) will present its Winter Concert on
Sunday, January 31, 2010 at 3:30pm. The concert that was postponed due to a winter storm was previously scheduled on Saturday, December 19, 2009. The orchestra will perform at Battell Chapel, located at the corner of Elm and College Streets in New Haven.
A contribution of $10 for students and seniors and $15 for an individual is suggested.


The program includes Elgar's Enigma Variations, Gliere's Russian Sailor's Dance, and the beautiful Siegfried Idyll by Wagner. The orchestra is pleased to welcome The Fairfield County Children's Choir as guest performers. The choir that is comprised of children in grades 4-12, will join the orchestra to perform works by Mozart, Praetorius and others. Comprised of more the 60 professional and serious amateur musicians, the Civic Orchestra of New Haven has been a vital part of the greater New Haven community for more than 60 years.
